RCAP provides training for water operators, utility board members, financial officers, and community members to help prepare communities to manage their own water systems and reach financial sustainability. RCAP has a team of Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs) across the country who live and work in the communities we serve. These TAPs help communities by providing practical guidanceand capacity-building expertise - from financial advice, to environmental services like helping communities comply with federal and state regulations, and more.
The RCAP National Office manages a federal program through U.S. EPA to provide training and technical assistance for small drinking water systems to achieve and maintain compliance through assessing and addressing deficiencies. The project, which addresses EPA National Priority Area 1, provides compliance-based, capacity-building training and technical assistance for operators, board members, and managers of tribal and non-tribal small community and non-community water systems with the objective of protecting human health by reducing exposure to contaminants in drinking water.
