Peter Karttunen was born in Finland and his first formal training in woodworking came from his grandfather, a wood carver. His early training and "Sisu" a uniquely Finnish quality (Sisu means that you finish what you start, you don't quit in the middle of a job, and you don't whine), have shaped his philosophy in completing all the construction projects that R D & P Construction completes.
