Village Green has always been a company that improves lives and communities through its business practices. Championing the building of solar homes and energy efficiency in the 1970s and 80s. And more recently, redeveloping two high-rise apartment communities in Detroit which prompted the City of Detroit to bestow upon Village Green the Spirit of Detroit Award for its contribution to the city's economic revitalization.
