Take Charge of Your Diabetes was developed by Stanford University and has a successful track record of changing lives. Take Charge of Your Diabetes Basic - A seven-week workshop consisting of weekly two-and-a-half hour sessions. Each class is led by two certified facilitators. Take Charge of Your Diabetes Plus - An eight-week workshop for participants who are referred by a doctor and have Medicare or other insurance. This program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Classes are held weekly for two-and-a-half hours per week.
