J.C. Anderson got its start in 1879 in the aftermath of Chicago's Great Fire, helping to rebuild the city as a plastering contractor. We've since grown to become the largest interiors-only contractor in the Chicago area. Recognized as solutions-oriented professionals who prioritize open communication and getting the job done right, our firm believes it's what's inside that matters - both in terms of what we build and who we are. We serve as your advocate from the onset of the project. Our estimators possess the knowledge and the historical data needed to uncover all cost-saving opportunities before any work begins, and our project managers mitigate risk by partnering with architects, engineers, and project consultants to identify potential risk factors and streamline project timelines. Once documents and suppliers are finalized our superintendents begin supervising the day-to-day operations, monitoring the schedule, updating it daily as needed, and conducting weekly project meetings with all subcontractors and vendors.

On March 23rd, J.C. Anderson made the decision to "hit the pause button" and suspend all field operations. We did not approach the decision lightly. Because we are an interiors-only construction company, with the majority of our work conducted in multi-tenant buildings, this presented some unique challenges on our jobsites. We made this decision to allow JCA the time to help ensure our workforce and subcontractors would be working in safe environments. We did not feel comfortable proceeding as an essential business and sending our employees and subcontractors into harm's way until we had the time to assess our jobsites and make sure we had a site-specific plan to keep everyone safe.
