Remarkable organization. Does tremendous work as advocates for children and for healthy living. If you are looking for a place to volunteer, I highly recommend them.
I've been in the local foods movement more than 30 years. The meetings I've attended by KC Healthy Kids Bring together more high level people than any group I've worked with. I'm like Pavlov's dog except for I get goose bumps just driving to an event.
The mission of this organization is so important. Teaching people, especially children, about healthy eating, food, and spaces is essential to a vibrant community. The work this non-profit accomplishes is invaluable.
