Founded as Holmes Brick and Salvage Company by Phillip and Mike Holmes in 1957, Holmes Building Materials is built upon four generations of family tradition and outstanding customer service. After the original salvage store burned to the ground in 1967, the facility was demolished and remodeled into a brand new home center, which laid the groundwork for the company you see today. Under the current leadership of father-son duo, John and Matthew Holmes, Holmes Building Materials has expanded its reach and services to include two full-line hardware stores, three showrooms, a specialized contractor division, a fleet numbering 100 strong, a Do it Best seal of approval and a staff who is trained, committed and ready to help with all of your building needs.

Holmes Building Materials has an exceptional team of people with the largest fleet of delivery trucks in our area. Numbering over 100 strong, our inside and outside sales team, support staff, operators, drivers and managers have a commitment to assist each customer with extraordinary service! We are delighted to help with any project and our trucks are always running! Jake holds a BS-General Studies from LSU 2010. A Baton Rouge native, Jake enjoys the opportunity to work with residential, commercial and individual builders to achieve their goals of completing their projects to the best of their ability.
