David C. Mauro and his wife Mary Ann Mauro of Marlborough, Massachusetts founded Construction Materials Service, Inc. (CMS) in 1977. CMS was primarily a sand and gravel operation. As the supply of materials in our local area dwindled, CMS evolved into the site work company it is today. Patrick Mauro, David's son joined the company in 1980 right out of high school. He started working as a mechanic, driver, laborer, equipment operator, superintendent and then proceeded to managing the day to day operations of the company and is now the President of CMS.
