To support his growing family, Allan worked as a carpenter. Seeing the value in knowing a trade, Allan taught his son Dennis everything he knew about carpentry. Together, they built our family cabin on Loveless Lake (pictured above). In 1968, Allan and Dennis partnered to form Ulmer Construction - a small builder that bought lots and built homes - one lot at a time. Over time, Allan and Dennis built hundreds of homes, and developed hundreds of lots in the metro area. Allan and Dennis passed their knowledge of carpentry and construction down to Colin - making three generations of Ulmer carpenters.
