Our past projects include both commercial & residential work. We specialize in residential home additions & commercial buildouts. However we also complete many other jobs yearly such as: Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basements, Outdoor living areas and more. We can also plan, manage, and build multi-phase jobs. Jim Muehling was born & raised in Florissant, MO. He is a proud De Smet High School & Univerity of Missouri St. Louis Alumni. At 18 years old Jim completed his first basement remodel, he recognized his passion for construction and opened JR Muehling Construction in 1992.

After several weeks of careful thought and discussions with my wife, I have made the decision to retire and close my business after almost 30 years. Several key factors have led to this decision; covid 19, rapidly increasing material pricing, severe product shortages and delays, insufficient work force, etc. I don't take this decision lightly, as my business has been a major part of my life and identity for several decades.
