LINCOLN - At its November 20th Board Meeting, Lincoln Electric System (LES) voted unanimously to commit to net-zero carbon by 2040. Nebraska Conservation Voters (NCV), a statewide organization that advocates for policies to protect the environment for future. NCV collaborates strategically with appointed and elected officials and partner organizations on rules, regulations and environmental legislation. We campaign for strong policies and ensure public officials hear from conservation constituents.
Last week, the CEOs of Nebraska’s three largest utilities, along with Lanny Nickell, Chief Operating Officer of the Southwest Power Pool, discussed the rolling outages that Nebraska experienced in February.
