The CONNECT TRAINING INSTITUTE (CTI) transforms the understanding of community leaders, social service professionals, advocates, teachers and activists about the causes, consequences and complex dynamics of intimate and gender violence. As part of a comprehensive approach to eliminating family violence, the Community Empowerment Program (CEP) helps local organizations across New York City respond to the needs of victims and survivors in their own communities. Our circles, roundtables, workshops and seminars are safe spaces where people can name and challenge the dynamics of power and control and explore the way these dynamics create and sustain violence in our particular racial, ethnic and sociocultural locations.
