My name is Randolph "Randy" Rose, and in 1964 my cousin Stephen Gano went to Thailand to serve in the United States Military. While there, Steve discovered some amazing antiques at the villages he was stationed at. He was so enamored by the vast selection and uniqueness, that he wanted to share them with people back in the United States. He started buying them up and sending them back home to our Aunt Lee's antique store in Greenwich Village, New York City. Once he got back stateside, Steve started selling the antiques out of a Manhattan showroom.
Super Cool article. Hopefully we made the cut :) 1stDibs
