We are committed to using green design techniques to create beautiful, sustainable, natural and environmentally-kind landscapes. We pride ourselves on using indigenous plants and organic pest control methods as much as possible while keeping water usage to a minimum. Whether you want to simply beautify your outdoor living area, transform it into an entirely new space by re-grading and sculpting the land around your home, or re-engineer it to maximize seasonal show and the use of green design principles, we can help.

Founded in 1991, Green Acres is owned and operated by Certified Landscape and Green Roof Professional Craig Kopfmann. More than 30 years ago I made the choice of a lifetime, to work with nature to create beautiful and natural environments. I found in it a passion and a talent for delighting clients with unexpected, personalized landscape designs. Through experience, I realized that success is in attention to detail at every step of the design, installation and maintenance process. In my explorations with clients, I find there is often a "story" in the project, and I love to incorporate some aspect of it into the design.

Craig Kopfmann is a Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) through the CT Nursery & Landscape Association and holds a CT Commercial Applicators license. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT. He enjoys skiing, cycling, fishing and spending time with his family. From start to finish we've been very pleased with Green Acres Landscape & Design. Craig did a fantastic job of both sizing up our property and determining a landscaping plan that complements our home.
