ColeJenest & Stone was conceived in August 1987, when North Carolina State University College of Design graduates Michael Cole and Brian Jenest teamed to create a landscape architecture firm dedicated to exceptional client service and progressive design solutions. After working for two prominent Charlotte architecture firms, Michael and Brian set up shop in a cramped upstairs Myers Park guestroom using hollow-core doors for desks, a second-hand Macintosh computer, and a clattering dot matrix printer.
