Scout Pest Control began servicing the Huntsville, Madison, and Athens areas in early 2013. Scout is a locally owned and operated company. We have a management team with years of experience with some of the fastest growing companies in the country and experience working in even the most sensitive environments. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest levels of service available. We do this through continuous training by industry experts, by knowing that our employees are our most valuable asset, and by remembering that it is through taking care of you, the customer, that we stay in business.

For many years the phrase "Don't let the bedbugs bite!" was simply a saying; unfortunately, for many people this is no longer the case. In the last several years bed bugs have made a resurgence to become a much more common and difficult to control problem. One of the problems with bed bug infestations is a lack of awareness to the problem until it gets out of hand. Bed bug bites typically don't cause any pain, and frequently go unnoticed for several months until our bodies develop an allergic reaction to the bite.

Mice and rats are a common problem, especially in the fall and winter months as rodents look for a warm place to stay for the winter. Our General Pest Service includes trapping rodents that invade your home, garage, and attic. Using traps, we are able to quickly eliminate these pesky invaders. We have various types of traps depending on the type of rodent, the severity of the problem, and the likelihood that traps may be disturbed. Many of our customers are also interested in our baiting program.

Here at Scout Pest Control, we are committed to protecting the environment and making sure our children are healthy. To do this, we have decided to go green. As we can tell you, there is a reason that green pest control products show up all over the place today. They are better for the environment and your family's health. Green or organic pest control products are not that much different than conventional pest control products. Both employ chemicals to help control the pest population in your home and yard.

Here at Scout Pest Control, our goal isn't to just eliminate pests-we have designed our service to actually help prevent infestations in the first place! We seek to provide both a high level of control for unwanted pests, and to have a low impact on your business, employees and clients, and the environment. With this in mind, we use a wide range of products and methods and are constantly adapting to incorporate new strategies as they become available and prove successful. Many of our customers have found that on each of our regular treatments, our technicians do more to control pests than what their previous companies did all year!

At Scout Pest Control our mission is to improve the quality of life for each of our customers through eliminating and preventing unwanted pest problems. We are experts at eliminating ants, spiders, roaches, earwigs, wasps, rodents, and other pests that can invade and damage your home. Because our General Pest Control program is so effective, we usually only need to service once per season to eliminate and prevent pest problems. This allows us to save our customers money off of what some of our competitors with "cheap" monthly services charge.

You may have noticed, but honey bees have been in the news frequently over the last few years. Some news reports cover aggressive Africanized Bee attacks, but many more have covered the decline in Honey Bee populations. At Scout Pest Control, we feel a strong commitment to protecting bees, which includes helping them to establish or relocate their colonies to safe areas. We do this through capturing bee swarms, and through removing hives that have located in unwanted areas. Bees are a very beneficial insect, they are necessary in the pollination of many of our crops and plants.

Fire ants are known for their reddish-brown color and painful sting and can be dangerous to those allergic to them. Their mounds are easily visible in your yard. In addition to stings, they can damage vegetation, roads, and electrical systems. Sugar ants like to nest in hidden and protected areas. These ants can be extremely difficult to control using over the counter products. For this pest we use specialized products that destroy the nest and queen. Most of the products available to consumers are repellent in nature to these sensitive bugs.

Rodents in the home can cause a lot of problems. They carry a number of diseases, their droppings can contaminate food, and their gnawing can cause both cosmetic damage and even cause fires if they chew through wires. Signs that you have a rodent infestation include seeing them live or dead, finding droppings, hearing gnawing or scurrying sounds, and damage to food or other items. If you find signs of rodents in your home, don't hesitate to call Scout Pest Control. Our rodent control process includes baiting and exclusion to prevent further problems.

Your home should be a sacred space, free of annoying critters. At Scout Pest Control, our mission is to improve the quality of life for each of our customers by eliminating and preventing unwanted pests. A wide variety of insects and rodents can invade your home. These include ants, spiders, roaches, earwigs, wasps, rodents, among others. Each of these pests comes with their own set of problems and treated options. Plus, they are more than annoying, as many can spread disease and wreak havoc on the structure of your house.

In Alabama, termites cause millions of dollars of damage each year to homes and businesses. It's important to have your home inspected for termites so you can avoid the expensive issues they cause. People tend to worry about termites only when they see them swarming-at that point you already have a problem. Swarming termites are often confused with winged ants. They look similar, but there are a few key differences that can help in identification. If you look at the wings on a flying ant versus an eastern subterranean termite swarmer, the ant has a larger set of front wings, and a smaller set of hind wings.

Bed bugs are nocturnal and elusive, making them difficult to detect. However, there are several signs that can indicate bed bugs. The first is bite symptoms on skin-red, itchy bites, usually on arms or shoulders. Aside from that, look for small, dark, sand-like droppings or blood smears on your sheets. You can also find empty exoskeletons they have moulted. If you think you have a bed bug infestation, don't hesitate to call Scout Pest Control immediately. Don't attempt to control them yourself-the longer you wait, the more difficult it is to get rid of them.

Here at Scout Pest Control, we are committed to protecting the environment and not passing problems on to our children. Additionally, pests have developed resistance to many modern man-made products. A great advantage of using green products isn't only the added safety, but with certain products, pests don't seem to have the ability to develop resistance! With this knowledge we strive to use high quality, natural products as much as possible even with our traditional services. We've found that, used correctly, these products can be as or even more effective than the harsher man-made products.

At Scout Pest control we offer several alternatives to eliminating and protecting your business or commercial property from the destructive force of Termites. Termites can often go undetected for years, and cause significant damage! Rather than risk having to close their doors for major repairs after an infestation, many businesses proactively treat to prevent termite issues! In most cases with a commercial property, we recommend having a liquid termite treatment done. This will provide a long-lasting residual control against termite infestation.

At Scout Pest Control, our mission is to protect your business by eliminating and preventing unwanted pests. We are experts at eliminating ants, spiders, roaches, earwigs, wasps, rodents, and other annoyances that can invade and damage not only your property, but also your reputation. Each of the pests listed above come with their own problems and treatment options. For example, cockroaches, rodents, and and crickets can get into food and ruin it. Termites, ants and rodents, on the other hand can cause structural damage.

Termites are a key insect in our ecosystem, but they cause serious damage to many homes and businesses in Athens, Madison, and Huntsville every year. While termites are beneficial in the wild, when theybegin to enter and feed on our homes and buildings they can cause a tremendous amount of damage andneed to be stopped. A few warning signs that you may have a probleminclude: small mud tubesanywhere along the foundation home, in the crawl space, or anywhere else; Damp or bubbled places in walls behind the paint; Small holes filled with mud or dirt appearing in walls;a squishy board or mud around any board; A hollow sound when tapping on what should be solid boards.

For many years the phrase "Don't let the bed bugs bite!" was simply a saying; unfortunately, for many people this is no longer the case. In the last several years bed bugs have made a resurgence to become a much more common and difficult to control problem. As a business owner, you may not think bed bugs are a problem for you, but they are showing up more and more in commercial settings. They are being found in office buildings, movie theaters, clothing outlets, and more. If you find evidence of bed bugs in your business, don't hesitate-call us immediately.

Scout Pest Control is an expert at controlling spiders, including black widow and brown recluse spiders, two highly poisonous spiders in the region. There are many other spider varieties that do not pose any particular danger to your home and family, but if you see even one black widow or brown recluse, it's important to take action. To identify a brown recluse, look for five things. One, the color-it ranges from yellowish to dark brown and is slightly darker in the center. Its legs are lighter brown and uniform in color.

Daniel was great! I had a rat that my cat brought in alive and in my son's bedroom for days, even with traps we couldn't catch it. In a matter of 5 minutes, Daniel had the rat dead and outta there! He was professional, ea sy to talk to and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Extremely professional and personal. Recommendations made based on what customers concerns are. Highly recommend.

We used Scout for years, when we lived in AL. We continued to use their services when we had tenants in our home. They are always very professional, and get the job done. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a pest control service in the area. Wish more companies would have the exceptional service that Scout offers.

Did you know that #bats love gable vents and attics? Often the first sign of these houseguests can be something as simple as feces on siding like you see in this picture. While we love how bats eat bugs, unfortunately they do bring in several serious health concerns, and are better located in bat.
