Action Housing

ACTION has operated the Weatherization Assistance Program for the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Washington, and Greene Counties for 25+ years. We seek to ensure that our projects contribute to neighborhood stabilization and/or revitalization, attract new residents, both renters and homeowners, and re-use existing buildings or empty lots to ensure the vitality of their neighborhoods.

Our weatherization team provides free energy upgrades to homeowners and renters who make less than two hundred percent of the federal poverty income level. The MyPlace Youth Program helps young adults who have aged out of foster care develop the skills needed for personal success and positive community engagement. We provide foreclosure prevention advisement by trained HUD certified foreclosure experts for any homeowner facing, or in risk of, foreclosure. We have had numerous home repair programs for low to moderate households over the years.
