The mission of Cotton Incorporated is to increase the demand for and profitability of cotton. The Cotton Incorporated Lifestyle Monitor™ helps fulfill this mission, by providing a range of marketing data and analyses to better inform decision makers on the global cotton supply chain. Since 1994, the Cotton Incorporated Lifestyle Monitor™ survey has measured consumer attitudes and habits relating to apparel, apparel performance, fashion, the environment, home furnishings, shopping, fiber selection and other topics of interest.
While there is no universally accepted definition of environmental sustainability, most agree that sustainable practices are those that are economical or profitable and, at the same time, help to minimize impact on the environment. This is how we define it at Cotton Incorporated, and our commitment to this point of view began long before the word took its current meaning. Almost since we opened our doors, Cotton Incorporated began pioneering sustainable practices for U.S. cotton growers, as well as for businesses that process or manufacture cotton textiles.
It’s been a year since COVID-19 shut down the U.S. Who knew so much could change in a year that seemed more like half a decade? And who knew so much could stay the same when everything outside the safety of our homes seemed rife with upset and uncertainty?
