Here we have it — Mighty Chestnut's first bloom brightening up our garden on a dark rainy morning. The American Hemerocallis Society's description, "chestnut brown with bold burgundy eyezone above orange throat" was indeed accurate. But the surprise is that the outside of the bloom is a beautiful gold color!
