In 1998, my wife Sara and I with two young children (Jake and Macy) moved with my father's general construction business to Colorado. Having a base knowledge of all trades, I decided to focus on the trade I enjoyed most, painting. We started Horner Painting in 1999 and developed a system of painting that produced the highest quality results. I worked in the field and Sara did the books. We have had steady growth and are one of the largest painting contractors in Northern Colorado. As the company grew, my position changed from painter to business owner.
