Services
Rug Cleaning
Our meticulous cleaning process removes dirt and debris without damaging natural dyes in hand-spun wool rugs. We use pH-balanced soaps and controlled water temperatures to prevent color bleeding. Customers benefit from extended rug lifespan and preserved aesthetic value through our chemical-free approach.
Rug Appraisals
ORR-certified evaluations determine fair market value, insurance worth, and retail potential for antique and contemporary rugs. We examine weaving techniques, dye composition, and regional patterns to assess authenticity. Estate planning clients receive detailed documentation for collection management.
Rug Repairs
We perform edge binding, hole patching, and pile restoration using matching materials and traditional techniques. Minor repairs occur in-house while complex restorations connect with specialized regional artisans. Preservation-focused methods maintain structural integrity without compromising original craftsmanship.
Mothproofing
Non-toxic chemical treatments render wool fibers inedible to moths and carpet beetles. The odorless application lasts through multiple cleanings while remaining safe for homes with children and pets. Regular treatments prevent irreversible damage from hidden insect infestations.
Rug Pads
High-density polyurethane pads prevent slippage, reduce foot traffic wear, and protect flooring surfaces. The 1/4-inch thickness absorbs impact while allowing proper airflow beneath rugs. Properly sized pads installation included to maximize effectiveness and longevity.
