As a spatial designer, I work at the intersection of architecture and design to help discerning clients get the best possible version of their homes, as well as the maximum use out of their spaces. I'm an interior designer, but more than that, I'm here to help you get the most from the walls of your home. My ultimate goal is always to help clients create lovely spaces with beautiful finishes and furnishings, but my focus is foremost on spatial design-designing floor plans to optimize space for remodels, additions and new builds.
My career as an interior designer began in an unofficial way when my husband and I bought our first house. It was a 1949 custom home that was well built, but poorly designed. The floor plan was outdated, the finishes were antiquated and the whole house was in need of a thorough overhaul. I spent so much time thinking and dreaming about how we could change our house to fit our young family's needs, but I didn't yet have the skills to convert my dreams into reality. Coincidentally, right around that same time I was introduced to interior design as a course of study.
