Concrete Removal & Surface Preparation

When essential infrastructure needs to be cleaned and/or prepared for restoration, CROM is able to reduce downtime by utilizing our design/build team to customize efficient solutions. Our trained technicians offer un-paralleled safety and performance by selecting the best execution method from a wide array of equipment and techniques. CROM utilizes state of the art equipment and robotics to minimize unnecessary damage to substrates while providing the best safety and ergonomic techniques for our technicians.

Continuing Service Agreements

Our trained team of Engineers, Project Managers, Technicians, and other key support team members are able to analyze and recommend procedures for preventative and emergency needs for all structures associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities. CROM is equipped to respond to emergencies with a quick turnaround response time.

High Performance Coatings

Qualified and certified, CROM is a specialist in high performance coatings and their applications. These high quality coatings offer solutions for waterproofing, protection and longevity of concrete infrastructure. We strive to install the best coating products on the market from our partners at BASF, CIM, De Neef, Dudick, Euclid, Madewell, Sherwin Williams, Sika, and Tnemec. CROM has NACE certified inspectors and fully trained technicians who utilize the latest technologies in all forms of abrasive blasting for surface preparation. Robotically controlled Ultra High Pressure (UHP) Water Jetting with vacuum recovery can be used to cleanly and efficiently remove years of old coatings systems to make structures look like the day they were built, as well as extend the longevity of new systems applied.

Infrastructure Upgrades

Modifying concrete infrastructure to meet the demands of new processes, technology, safety, security and regulation requirements can be challenging. CROM is equipped with unparalleled experience, custom built equipment, in-house engineering, and certified technicians to develop and implement the required changes. Our design/build approach allows us to offer safe solutions on the most complex structures. Common retrofit features include through-wall pipes (in un-banded and banded areas), under-slab pipe penetrations, structural modifications, new covers and weirs, handrails, walkways, security gates, and fall protection devices.

Specialty Fabrications

CROM designs and fabricates railings, ladders, gates, hatch covers, manways, wall pipes, aluminum stairs (free standing or attached), platforms, and safety accessories at our 25-acre Project Services Facility. For decades, our in-house engineering and skilled fabricators have been creating high quality custom solutions to meet our client’s needs. Our fabrication team offers specialty fabrications in the following materials: aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, fiberglass, precast concrete, and lumber. We also provide OSHA compliant safety modifications fabricated specifically to custom fit your existing infrastructure. A few of our notable achievements include a 70′ tall switch back aluminum staircase, custom access ways and piping, and equipment for construction of prestressed concrete tanks.

Structural concrete rehabilitation

Reinforced concrete structures that are well designed and properly constructed prove to be highly durable. However, aggressive environments and severe conditions can pose a threat to the integrity of the concrete, leading to degradation. Exposed reinforcing steel can degrade the integrity of the concrete structure. CROM’s design/build approach allows us to add un-paralleled value by addressing the root of the problem and a comprehensive solution. Solutions often include hand-placed or wet/dry-mix shotcrete for horizontal and vertical overhead repairs and high performance coatings.

Resurfacing

Structures where coatings have deteriorated, failed, or the appearance needs an update, are perfect candidates for resurfacing. Resurfacing requires removal of previous coating systems. CROM’s certified technicians provide installation of high performance coating systems ranging from water-based acrylic paint to complex epoxy-based heavy industrial coating systems.

Fiber Reinforcement

When reinforcing loss occurs due to corrosion, structural damage or compensation for loading requirements or conventionally cast-in-place concrete modifications, fiber reinforcement is an efficient and affordable solution. CROM’s in-house engineers and certified technicians are trained and approved by system manufacturers for the proper installation of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) and Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) strengthening systems in a wide array of applications including compensation of damaged prestressed wires.

Bridge Restoration

Many bridges suffer from concrete corrosion due to freeze thaw damage, exposure to saltwater, or lack of routine maintenance. CROM’s structural concrete repairs, shotcrete and concrete restoration, and industrial coatings system applications can rehabilitate these structures to extend their life and continued service.

You guys are the best contractors I've ever worked with and wanted to show my appreciation.
