My husband found Artem on Craigslist when he was looking for someone reliable to redo our deck. As with everything we found on Craigslist, we were skeptical or at least unsure about his ability and reliability. He came a long way to gave us a quote which we thought was reasonable, and he gave us suggestions on how the new deck should be built. We thought he knew what he was doing (he was a general contractor in CA and a carpenter in FL so far), so we agreed on the price and decided to give him a try.
He was very communicative with us before the work began. The day of work, he showed up on time and started tearing down the old deck. He and his helper worked hard and cleaned up well afterwards. The 2nd day, again he showed up on time and finished building the deck, as well as an outdoor shower! The deck looked beautiful- well built! And the shower expected our expectations, to be honest, because he designed it such that the colors were very subdued and camouflaged, it was hard to tell from the distance!
You can see for yourself how nice they look! We were also in need of new lower kitchen cabinets, and we were going to go with Lowes. Which we talked with Artem, he told us he could install the cabinets (he is a carpenter after all), for less, and he told us where to buy the cabinets. With the good experience we had, we decided to go with him. I will write a separate review on that experience.
We really enjoy the deck and shower he built for us! ---------------- 2nd review- Artem installed the cabinets for us - wood cabinets he found for us, better than the Lowe's kind we were going with, and he cut down the pony wall for us. We can't wait for the countertop to be installed now! We are now going to hire Artem to do our stairs, because he does good work with reasonable price and he is reliable!
