Water Testing
What’s in your water may not always be transparent. While some contaminants can cause foul odors or smells, others go unnoticed by you and the people around you who drink it regularly, every day, and do not even know it.
Water Softeners
Hard water is softened by removing the hardness minerals, calcium and magnesium, in the water through a process called ion exchange. When hard water enters the water softening system's resin bed, ion exchange occurs.
Acid Neutralizer
Water softeners and water neutralizers may sound similar and you might think they perform the same function but these two devices perform two completely different functions for your home or business. Water softeners remove the minerals which cause water to be hard (calcium, magnesium), whereas water neutralizers increase pH levels of your water to make it less acidic.
Drinking Water

I was so impressed with Chris and his professionalism at the consultation. He answered all my questions and gave me great information that I was not aware of about my water. I highly recommend them to all my neighbors and friends here in the Richmond area. I now know that I have safe clean water for family and pets. My well water was very hard and had a sulfur smell. It also contained very high iron content that turned all the toilets and facilities that received water a bright orange color. The water from the well also had a high silica content. Advanced Water Systems represents Kinetico. They were able to combine all elements I needed to have the best possible water quality available in our house.
The sales and service at Advanced Water Systems are excellent. Chris Pavan came to the house and listened to my description of what I thought was wrong with the water. He tested the water and with the results in hand, we sat down and looked at the options available for my system. In addition to the water softener that dealt with the hardness & iron, we added a carbon sulfur guard to get rid of the sulfur odor.
I also wanted an ultraviolet light to kill all bacteria coming into the house. We added a silica filter which coats the silica and prevents it from sticking to the shower walls, and glasses in our kitchen. For our drinking water, we added a reverse osmosis system that has its own tap in the kitchen and feeds the instant hot water, and the refrigerator. Mike, Kevin and Jonathan are the technicians who installed the systems.
They are very knowledgeable, well trained, polite and considerate. It's apparent Advanced Water Systems emphasizes customer service in all aspects of their business. Professional, friendly, and willing to accommodate my needs. Had an other appointment this am but squeezed in a 9:00am Kinetico service. When I got the confirmation text it said arrival between 9 and 9:30. 9:30 would be cutting things too close so I called Mike on his cell (it was Super Bowl Sunday) he let me know, and showed up 8:30! Things worked out perfect.

Mike and Chris who assisted us in getting and installing Kinetico drinking water filtration system were amazing. Both were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would recommend Kinetico to anyone looking into reverse osmosis water filtration system and would not look any further. We used Kinetico before in another state and came back to it now.
Beyond the fact that the system works, it self cleans and the installation process is seamless. It's a great investment and will pay for itself in a few years. Strongly recommend Kinetico in Richmond to anyone here and appreciate the opportunity to enjoy their expertise and excellent work ethic!

Kinetico has always been a top company. It is by far the best investment we've made in our home and we have been so pleased with every technician and worker we have come into contact with at this company. They come out right away if there is a problem, they always try to save you money and don't price gauge you when the service the softener, and they're always available if you need anything or have questions. We have had our Kinetico systems for about 17 years. The water quality is outstanding and once you drink the reverse osmosis water that is all you will want. Will never go without it! Owner came out to do some maintenance work very professional and courteous. Definitely recommend them!

The whole process from consultation to installation was as easy as can be. The guys that installed our water softener cleaned everything up and it looked like they had never even been there! We had a wonderful experience with Kinetico. Our neighbor had recommended the system to us and Chris came out to test our water within a couple of days after our call to the office. We were very impressed with his knowledge and presenting the system and options to us. Mike was here within the week to install the system.
