We have used Sanders & Johnson since buying the home in 2018. They had installed & maintened the system for the owners previous to the people we bought it from, and did maintenance for the people we bought the home from. Tyler was the lead Tech with Johann in training on AC'c. They both were straight forward, got the job done. Side note Johann did the furnace maintenance last fall. Tyler explained about one issue with the contactor.
Although knew we don't use the AC very much and are planning on replacing the unit with in 2 years. So he suggested not replacing the contactor as it should hold until then. He was very honest that he couldn't guarantee it, but it was worth watching to see if it does.

"Honest Work for Honest Prices" is the moto on their business card and very much my experience with this company. I had 4 quotes to replace a water heater, that needed to be moved, brought up to code on several items, and to have the floo replaced out through the roof. Their price was in the middle of the quotes, though all were relatively close. I went with them b/c they took time to point out things that would need to be done "with whomever I went with" and pitfalls other people might not cover. They also brought up additional safety measures they would do on the project. As for the work itself, Erik and Quinn (who also did the quote) were on time and got the job done thoroughly and in a reasonable time & were very professional. There were no surprises on the pricing, and all the things pointed out in the quote were done, along with everything being explained to me too with the new set up. the office staff with scheduling were also really great to work with. I would 100% hire them again! ((and turns out a neighbor saw their vans at my house and has used this company for years as well))

My daughter has a duplex in Capitol Hill that had the furnace replaced about 8 years ago. Within the last couple of years it developed a problem of starting up in the morning, running for a bit, and then shutting down. Restarting took some work. This problem was most frequent during very cold weather when the furnace was needed the most.
We had 4 different HVAC contractors (some of the most recognizeable names in Denver) investigate the problem without success. Although none could identify the problem, they all concluded that replacing the furnace was the answer to solving the problem.
Out of total frustration we started calling HVAC contractors at random and happened to get Mike at Sanders & Johnson. From the initial conversation he demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the design of furnace systems. Upon arrival for a service visit he went right to work reviewing the system design and collecting the data and measurements needed to evaluate the system. Within an hour he identified what he believed to be the problem, made a tweak to the system, and said to call him if that didn't do it.
Following Mike's visit the furnace has worked perfectly through some periods of very cold weather which would have triggered the problem. And that was accomplished with no replacement parts and certainly no replacement of the furnace.
Considering our experience with some of the most experienced and well-known HVAC contractors in Denver without success, it's hard to fully express how impressed we are with Mike and Sanders & Johnson. On a scale of 1 - 10, they are a 14.

We first used Sanders & Johnson back in 2010 for a new furnace install and it has worked great. Fast forward to 2019, Central Air stops working on hot August 95 degree day. I call them next morning at 8am and they still have me on file, can come out between 11 and 1pm - they arrive early and fix the A/C unit in plenty of time. Erik explained what was wrong, had the replacement part and had the house cool in no time! Great work and great price! Highly recommend them for heating and cooling needs!

S & J has been servicing our 2 furnaces, 1 AC unit and a humidifier for over 20 years. Realizing, we were on borrowed time with these units, we had Dan come out and do an analysis and pricing of what new systems would cost. He gave us 3 options and spent a good deal of time explaining each one. We made our decision and we were able to schedule the installation for the following week. Brad and Ryan came out and did a fantastic job of removing all the old equipment and installing the new.
The entire job took a day and a half (another outstanding tech came with them on the second day). They put down tarps from the entry to the furnace room so that the floors never got dirty. When they were finished all systems were tested and we received a tutorial and were given all the manuals for the products. Then they thoroughly cleaned up their work space. We highly recommend Sanders and Johnson!

I called Sanders and Johnson in a panic as my 20+ year old furnace was not blowing any heat during the weekend in January. Honestly, I fully expected to be told that it needed to be replaced for $3000 and that I'd have to ask a million questions to make sure that I was being swindled. Jesse, the service tech, showed up on time (awesome #1), was professional and respectful (awesome #2), spoke to me as if I am capable of understanding basic mechanics which as an engineer I definitely am (awesome #3), and recommended a quick inexpensive repair that he had parts for on his truck (awesome #4). Jesse told me he has worked at Sanders and Johnson for over 20 years and likely installed this unit in my home (we are the 2nd owners). He is really a nice person and seemed to like his job.

We have used Sanders and Johnson for nearly 30 years. Recently the furnace in my mother's house died. After getting several other bids I called S&J to see if they serviced the town where my mother lives. Dan came out, gave me a bid that was much more reasonable than the ones my brothers got and had the new furnace there the next day. Tim and Josh were absolutely outstanding and had the new furnace in and operating in just a few hours. My entire family is now sold on Sanders and Johnson.

I usually feel like prices are fair and service is competent and problems are addressed. Some technicians do have an air of conceit but others have been totally pleasant. My AC wasn't cooling. They came out the next day which was far better than any other company. They assumed I had a leak (which is very expenisve to check for and repair) and refilled with freon to last a little while longer while I price out new ones. One of the owners came out for an estimate for a new unit. It seemed high so I am pricing out with other companies to compare. But he took his time explaining things and how to make my unit more efficient. I loved that he took his time. Then just tonight I noticed that the freon is freezing over so I called them at 9pm on a Friday. The emergency line told me someone would call me right away and he did. This man explained what was most likely happening and then suggested ways to keep the house cool. Extremely helpful and responsive! The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because I felt the estimate seemed high. They also put a furnace in my old house and was very happy with them during that transition as well!
