I have used Dave for several projects and have found his work to be good, at a fair price, and timely. He wired my entire basement, ran the main line for my Solar Panels from my Soladeck to the main disconnect and added a junction box.

I would recommend these guys to anyone. I was in over my head with a remodel and I had a huge list of electrical work that needed to be done (re-routing wires, installing can lights, relocating outlets, etc) and they came in and fixed everything in a half a day. They were efficient and did a quality job.

We needed a new breaker box asap along 4 interior breakers replaced and not only were they available the next morning, but they were very professional, on time, knowledgeable and a great price. If you want an experienced, professional, and thorough master electrician then David Butler is your guy. He is by far the best Master Electrician in Utah. We have worked with many electricians over the years and I stopped looking when we met David. You can reach him directly and he will always take good care of you. Just today, half our house lost power.
I called David, and within seconds he gave me a diagnosis without even coming over and told me how to fix it. Those seconds are worth 30+ years of experience behind them. David would not accept any compensation for his advice. I highly recommend that you work with David and his team.

I hired Butler Electric for a somewhat in-depth job on a 70 year old house with mostly original electric (I hired them to replace the main power supply line to the house, install a new mast for main supply line, new meter, two new fuse boxes installed at new locations, service for electric car charger, outdoor underground service line for a hot tub, fifteen recessed ceiling lights with wiring and switches, six boxes for non-recessed ceiling lights with wiring and switches, under-cabinet hard wired strip lighting, and five new outlets with new wiring).
Right off the bat, Dave Butler was responsive and professional. He came to the property quickly to do a bid, and spent time walking through the property, answering my questions, and helping me consider what types of items I should add or remove from my original scope of work. His quote arrived quickly after he walked the property, and the price was reasonable (I had 5 other electricians walk this property, 3 of whom provided bids, and two of whom I never heard from again).
I hired Dave, and his crew got to work on the property quickly. Work progressed at a rapid pace, and the main guy from his crew (Chad) was professional and a good communicator. As work progressed, I made several changes to my requested scope of work--Chad consulted with me and advised me on these changes, and adjusted to them with no problems. This project required coordination with Rocky Mountain Power, and permitting and inspection from the city--all of which Butler electric handled with zero issues. Ultimately, the work was completed in a reasonable timeframe, on-budget, and with zero unanticipated events or problems.
Over the years, I've worked with lots of tradespeople (including a variety of electricians) on everything from minor repairs to full-on new construction projects. Butler electric are among the best electricians I've worked with, and they'll be the first electricians I call from now on--highly recommended.

I had a relatively extensive landscaping project in our backyard. The Butler Electric company helped us with the electrical aspects of the project. It was the best experience I have ever had working with any company. They are very responsive, on-time, providing an excellent quality with a very reasonable price. Dave himself always comes to verify the project and clarify the details and for our project he and his crew had to do it in several stages and they were always on-time, finished it very quick and always with the best quality that I could imagine. 100% recommend Dave Butler and his team of expert electricians. After moving into our 1940s Liberty Wells home in the fall, we were welcomed with an old 60A fuse box, which fed power to the house and two separate fuse junctions which ran power to our detached garage. After calling around to multiple electricians, Dave was the most responsive and offered an extremely competitive estimate.
He was able to schedule us immediately, pull permits, coordinate with Rocky Mountain Power, and completed the demo and 200A panel install in under six hours. Without a doubt he'll be our go to team for future electrical work!

Great full for the rapid and honest service by Butler electrical Services! My family and I started our Friday morning wondering why our lights were flickering. I called the power company to check to power to my home, they discover that my main outdoor breaker to house was corroded and arching, which shortly lead to loss of power. This type of service repair isnt easy to complete same day. Thankfully Butler service was able to make the repair and bring the outdoor panel to code.

These guys are great. I have dealt with a lot of other electrical contractors and I have never had such a positive experience. Fit me in their schedule right away. Called to let me know ETA. Showed up and immediately started working. Had the first problem fixed before I could show them the second. In and out with 4 separate issues resolved (replacement switch, tripped wire causing outlet issues, outdoor outlets fixed and wired, breaker replaced) within 1.5 hours easy. Cost was extremely fair. Customer for life.

Butler Electric, Inc is AMAZING! We had a tree limb take down a power line and completely rip the electrical panel and meter off of the side of our house. In one day they were able to completely affix the paneling, orchestrate between the city inspector and Rocky Mountain Power to restore services. Nothing but praise, gratitude and 5 stars for Butler Electric. Not to mention they were very cost effective and did everything they could to keep our costs low.

Dave at Butler Electric was wonderful when I was working on replacing some outlets around the house and ran into trouble. The first time I called him about problems replacing a GFCI outlet and he talked me through how to wire it correctly which worked. A few days later I ran into an issue with replacing one of the normal outlets and after I wired it incorrectly, I blew out my breaker and couldn't fix it on my own.
After I called him with the emergency he came within 15 minutes and fixed it for me thank goodness. He also installed a light fixture very quickly. Overall super responsive and friendly to boot and they're the first people I'll call whenever I have an electric issue.

The two electricians that came were on time, worked quickly, efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves so that our job was spotless after they left. David Butler runs a great shop. His teams are very well trained and their professionalism is apparent from the moment they arrive on the scene. I had some additional outlets added to my garage as well as some security lighting and was impressed with how quickly they tackled the jobs. Their pricing was very fair if not a little below the other bids I received.
They left the job site clean and answered every question I had before wrapping the job up. These guys are craftsmen in every sense 0f the word. Best thing is, I now have a trusted electrician in my group of "guys" that do work for me. Can you have too many of those.?

We lost power to half of our home, including the AC on a 100 degree day. I connected with Butler Electric last night and the owner was at my house as promised 1st thing in the morning to diagnose the problem. He had a team out quickly and they were able to repair one of the main lines coming into the house. They did fantastic work and were professional and fair.
I felt super comfortable with them. I will use them again anytime I need an electrician. This a great little company that you'll want on your radar if you need an excellent electrician. I 100% trust them.

Butler Electric installed wiring and a thermostat to support a bathroom floor heating system. They were very courteous, profession and explained each step they were taking to complete the task. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other estimates that were given and there were no surprises. Definitely will use them again when the need arises.

Amazing experience. We were remodeling our home and got recommended to these guys by our restoration company. They installed canned lights in main floor and did it quick and the price was fair. I later was installing ceiling fans in the rooms and one fan kept tripping the breaker. They came over free of charge and looked at and fixed the problem. I recently purchased a house that had the electrical meter inside and needed to be relocated outside. I received five bids for this project and Butler Electric was the lowest (HALF the price of others). As soon as Dave provided his estimate and I agreed, he was on the phone coordinating the permits and inspections for the project. His crew was highly professional, completed the job very quickly, and even fixed another minor issue that came up while they were here. I will be using them in the future, and highly recommend them.

It's amazing how some companies will take advantage when you're in a bad situation. Went through a mini tornado on Monday, had no electricity or hear. My wife and I recently relocated to Sandy into an older home, in need of some electrical updates. Dave Butler gave us a competitive bid and quickly had his crew on-site. Dave provided us a range of options with comparative pricing information and did not hesitate to recommend a more cost efficient way of accomplishing our project goals. The crew arrived on-site on-time and quickly got to work.
The work was completed ahead of the time frame Dave indicated, allowing us to schedule our time appropriately. The crew was clean, polite and conscientious of leaving both a good product and a clean area. They were careful with our pets and even kept an eye on our puppy to make sure she did not get too cold outside (letting her in to warm up intermittently). Butler Electric was competitive in cost with other companies, but did not cut any corners (or surprise us with extras such as wiring or boxes) and displayed a professional level of competency in the work performed.
