After researching several companies to replace the plaster on my pool, I selected Sun State Pools. Sun State offered good warranties and their prices were competitive.
This was a huge project involving many hard working crews. I am grateful that there are people willing to do this work. It's definitely not something for the average Do-It-Yourselfer.

I love the way my pool turned out. The crew that was here to chip out the pool was very professional and polite. I was worried when the plumber was scheduled for a set date and did not show up for 2 days after his scheduled date and there was no communication from anyone regarding the delay. There was also a issue with the tile installation but that was quickly remedy. The installation of the pebble tech was awesome to watch the project.
All in all both my husband and myself are very please with our pool.

Ive been using Sun State Pools Service for a while now and honestly, theyve been awesome. Super reliable, always show up on time, and they really know their stuff. My pool has been looking crystal clear since they started taking care of it.

Contacted Sun State Pools to get my pool replastered and at first when the salesman came over, everything sounded amazing verbally and communication seemed to be on point.
Let's just say we were quoted $10,000 for the repairs including a military discount (thank you) and we took out a loan with their company.
Once the repairs started communication had to be requested as we were left out of the loop for several parts of the process. I am used to receiving updates if workers come over to my house at 0500 and start working in my backyard and I am still sleeping. Every time I spoke to one of the workers, they didnt have any information, were misinformed on what we requested/wanted, or didn't speak English. I speak Spanish so that wasn't an issue, just pointing it out for other potential future customers.
I didnt like that I had to leave the side gate open so that they could work on the pool or run the risk of being charged a service fee for the workers not having access to the pool. After several email requests from me and my wife for updates to the situation, we would finally receive an update, but those replies never answered all the questions we had.
Once the pool was complete, one of the workers came over and cleaned the walls of the pool and started filling it with water. The main drain wasnt covered or cleaned out and after about two weeks we noticed that something wasnt right with the suction. We uncovered the main drain at the bottom of the pool (Pool was full) and cleared out so much plaster, dirt, junk, and residue left over from the demolition of the pool and re-plastering. I have contacted them again via email and text, submitted pictures and are waiting for them to now contact us to rectify the situation and inspect two blemishes on the pool wall.
The contract included one month of free pool maintenance and start up. The pool guy would check the pool, and I know according to the initial paperwork sent to us, that it needed more than just chlorine. He never added anything other than Chlorine and tablets, no muriatic acid, no other chemical to balance the hard water in Arizona. After two visits I requested to cancel the service and that was completed immediately, go figure.
We are also still waiting for final paperwork signed by the company for tax purposes, reselling of the house, and for warranty.
As far as the outcome is concerned, the pool honestly looks amazing but as far as the customer service is concerned, I would never want to work with this company again.
Please make this right Sun State Pools.

I used sun state pools to resurface my 24 year old in ground swimming pool. From the estimate I was given by Troy freese.To the different workers that came by to do the work and to my supervisor taylor who did a fantastic job, and all the office people that set up appointments, picking colors of tile , and making sure billing was correct I thank you all for your hard honest work to make this all come together. The pool is I believe finished above and beyond basic standards. I've had numerous compliments. I've already had people taken sun states phone number to have work done by sun state. One thing I do is make sure I have plenty of different drinks and food and chips available for everyone working. It's my way of saying thank you to all. I believe I got a great warranty if anything arises in the future. I don't have a bad word at all to say about this company. Definitely an A plus company to work with. Honesty and cleanliness were never compromised from them here each day. They make sure their contract is followed by the book. No cutting of corners or substituting cheapness. I took 4 months getting different company's to quote the work. Apples to apples sun state was the best priced quote with the most knowledge to all my questions. Thanks again everyone and til we meet again.

We remodeled our pool and patio with Sunstate pools. Cant say enough great things about them from start to finish. Most affordable and quality work was amazing. Oz our contractor communicated each step with us from start to finish. Kept us informed all the way. Lots of companys use subcontractors I think all workers were Sunstate. We got four quotes from other big companys Sunstate was the most detailed 4 1/2 pages one companys quote was a page and half. Great to use a local family business.

Look no further. Sunstate is the one! I had obtained several estimates from different Pool Deck Resurfacing companies and decided on Sunstate. Im very happy that I did! Ricky called me minutes before a was about to sign up with another company and he literally saved me over $1,000. The crew were very knowledgeable and professional and did an excellent job explaining the steps as they worked and also cleaning up afterwards. The Sun State team did a great job on our remodel project from start to finish. Ricky helped us think through the design process at our home and in the design center making sure all our questions were answered before starting. As soon as we got going Jason managed the project all the way through making sure all the small details were done right. We had Sun States complete a pool & spa remodel - new tile, new interior (pebbletec). We were very happy with their pricing, the quality of their products, & their service. They kept us informed of their work ( what they had to do & the times they would arrive) The workers were great - many different crews but all went above & beyond in the service they provided. They worked around our schedule for getting the work completed in a timely manner so we didnt lose much swim time. Nick was our salesman, Oz was our foreman & Bella kept us informed - everyone was great. I would recommend them to anyone & BTW - our pool & spa look beautiful!
