Bob Holsey is the owner of Bob's Custom Paint and Remodel. He has been painting since 1973, and learned his craft from no fewer than three generations of painters--his father, uncle and grandfather. Bob holds a Class A Contractor's License from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. When the quality of the work is what matters most, you can rest assured that Bob and his experienced, courteous and friendly crew (who have been with him for many years) will deliver the kind of work whose quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail will truly delight you.
We at Bob's Custom Paint and Remodel know that your home is most likely one of your biggest investments, and we refuse to take your kitchen, bath, or any other part of your home and cheapen its quality and lessen its value. Being in the cabinet finishing business since 1973, I have personally seen a lot of corners cut in the name of business. Most of the older houses were truly built to higher standards, and the cabinets of the 50's and 60's were truly custom built. True custom cabinets are all but gone, replaced by the mass-produced particle-board cabinets of the 70s, 80s, 90s and today.
As a homeowner, you've probably employed many different companies for your home repair and remodeling needs. If you've noticed that it is getting more and more difficult to find skilled workers at a fair price, you are certainly not alone. For many homeowners, the task of finding and choosing contractors to perform their home repair and remodeling has, understandably, become quite an onerous one. Bob founded his business on the simple premise that the total value he can deliver is a combination of the quality of the work, the professionalism of the service, and the price.
We can remove your old countertops and install new laminate, solid-surface, Corian®, Quartz®, Silestone®, or even granite countertops (as well as many others), with your choice of colors and a variety of edge profiles to choose from. And of course, all the work will be performed by certified fabricators and installers. For an informative overview of the different countertop material options available, check out item 6 (entitled "The Pros and Cons of Different Countertops") of the Frequently Asked Questions section of our Kitchen Remodeling Page, which contains information provided by interior designer Tammy Franklin, and is reproduced here with permission.
Kitchen remodeling is one of Bob's specialties! Perhaps you just want your kitchen cabinets refinished? Or would you really rather have your entire existing kitchen gutted and completely remodeled from the ground up? Either way (and for everything in between), Bob and his team have the expertise and experience to bring your vision to reality. Depending on your budget, chances are that we have a spot for you-everything from a minor kitchen remodel (for example, stripping and refinishing your existing kitchen cabinets), to major kitchen remodeling projects (and anything in between) as outlined in the "Cost vs. Value" section on this page.
Offices and commercial buildings are often subject to even more wear and tear than residences. Moreover, they typically don't receive the same degree of upkeep and care that residences do (despite the fact that people spend a great deal of their time in their offices). As such, after years of use, commercial buildings need renovation and refurbishing. Bob and his team are already well-known for their craftsmanship and experience in residential renovations--why not have the same team apply their considerable skills to refurbishing your entire office building?
