Berkeley Design Center

Berkeley Design Center is an 8,000 square foot design showroom and resource center providing a diverse selection of building materials for the Bay Area since 1986. Conveniently located just minutes from Downtown Berkeley and Oakland and less than thirty minutes from San Francisco, the Berkeley Design Center is the place to go for innovative and quality products at reasonable prices. With an emphasis on sustainable and environmentally conscious products, the Berkeley Design Center has been pioneering the use of bamboo, cork, natural linoleum, energy efficient lighting and water saving bathroom fixtures.

A light-emitting diode (LED) is an electronic light source that is up to 5 times more energy efficient than incandescent (9 Watt LED is equivalent in output to a 45 Watt incandescent) and they last up to 10 times as long as compact fluorescents (CFL). Berkeley Design Center carries LED Track, Recessed Ceiling and Under Cabinet lights from Nora Lighting. Track lighting plays an important role in displaying art work or creating a certain ambiance. Track lighting can provide focused light, which is perfect for illuminating individual items such as art objects.
