The owner had a standard basement that was used for the kids to play and for storage. The kids were growing up and the owners wanted more living space. We began by installing 3 new egress windows. We built a media room with custom entertainment center, fireplace and wet bar, a bedroom, and new bathroom with stone flooring, vanity and shower surround. We also rebuilt the staircase walls to make them more open. The job turned out beautifully, and now everyone wants to use the basement.

The owner wanted to update this Denver icon known as the Southmoor Clock Tower. The mansard section was covered with shake shingles and windows protruding outward, which made it very dark in the offices, besides being an outdated look. We demolished all the shakes and window extensions. We installed cementious stucco on the building's exterior and created new trim detail around the windows. We also painted the building. We installed a new entry and windows for the storefront. In the main entry, we installed slate on the walls and floors, and repaired the hand rail.

I am pleased to have a 20+ year relationship with Children's Garden Preschool. At one point, the school operated from two separate bungalows. These buildings were joined into one large building with a full, second floor buildout for offices. For this particular job, the Directors wanted us to add an arbor to the front, upgrade the rear decking, and redo the backyard landscaping. We demolished the old grapevine area and constructed a larger pergola deck with maintenance-free materials. We built the framing and roof from rough cedar and redwood.
