Beware, I was almost taken for $10,000, literally. I don't write negative reviews, but I feel it is my responsabilty to write this one. I was on a month to month payment plan with this company, which includes twice a year "service" for your heating and A/C. Six months ago, the service man told me I needed a new shut-off valve on the heating system in the attic, in case of "earthquakes". Recently a man from SoCal Gas Co came to the house and I asked him whether I actually needed to replace this value. He told me that the gas for the entire house shut off from the main value in case of earthquake; a value on the heating system was absolutely not necessary at all.

BUT the worst was recently when they came to "check" the A/C system. The "head service man" came to me and said very dramatically that the electric motor on the A/C was completely broken, gone, useless, and that a new compressor was $10,000 and that I really had no choice. He was very, very categorical; it was $10,000, and I just had to get used to the idea, and he could offer me credit.

For that money, I called for a second opinion from my trusted appliance repair man with whom I have many years of experience. He came, went to the compressor, came back 5 minutes later and said, "There is absolutely nothing wrong with your A/C except that the wire to the electric motor was loosened". He tightened the wire (I'LL NEVER KNOW IF ECONOAIR UNDID THE WIRE TO THE ELECTRIC MOTOR, but I find it very hard to believe the story that my appliance repair man saw the issue immediately and they didn't) and my A/C has been running perfectly now for several months, all thru this hot summer. He was there for 20 minutes and charged me $200. Not $10,000.

I sincerely question the honesty of this company; always get a second opinion if you ever decide to deal with them. In my entire life I've never seen anything like this.

Econo Air installed a forced air heating system for us a year ago and we were very impressed with the owner and the technicians. We were given a good price and they were very professional. Even fixed a potential problem with the existing air conditioner at no charge.
So when we had an issue with a different heater we called Econo Air. Richardo inspected the system, found the problem in a timely manner and replaced the faulty part. We're happy, we have heat again. He did a good job and was courteous and wore a mask & booties.
We will definitely use Econo Air again - only wish we had found this company a few years ago.

I purchased a new air-conditioning unit from Mike Richardson at Econo air last year. I live at the beach in an older home and had unusual Challenges. Newport Beach has many restrictions on homeowners at the beach. They resolved them all. Today Ricardo Lopez came for my one year check up. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. He observed all Covid rules. I am recommending ECONO AIR Based on his professionalism.

Our furnace unit broke down in Feb of 2020; we got 2 quotes and it didn't go anywhere bc the "highly" rated yelp service providers said they couldn't handle the project. Then Covid happened, so we further delayed the repair. One day in July my wife was at Costco, and picked up brochure w/ regards to HVAC/service repair. We contacted Costco, and they sent an authorized service provider (Econo Air) to give us an estimated.

Mike Richards (CEO) personally came and did the estimate himself. He was extremely professional, gave us GREAT advice...and executed as promised with thorough proposal.

Within 2.5 weeks from the proposal, we got the contracts signed...and BRAND NEW HVAC unit installed. The workers place tarps on the floor/carpet/used booties when needed. The system was moved to the attic, platforms build with electric rewiring for now lighting!

Truly the best! Thank you Mike and team for getting us setup in time to deal with the heatwave...!!!

Thankful Anthony was able to assist in my inquiries about the hot stagnant air in the attic. He gave valuable suggestions and referred me up to his manager about a quote for upgrading my current HVAC setup. I was leaning towards doing something that would end up costing me in the long-run but Anthony showcased his background and expertise in the field to redirect me to better alternatives. First, I must say that Econo Air installed our heating/air conditioning system almost 20 years ago! The installation was excellent and performed with professionalism. Did not have a problem with my unit until recently. Having issue with heating system turning on consistently.
Econo Air came out in early March to diagnose a heating problem. Ryan came out to diagnose. His overall diagnosis was that system as a whole is beginning to wear. I can tell you that I was very impressed with Monique inside the office. Because a specific diagnosis was not provided, Econo Air promised me a refund of service call. The refund was late in arriving. I called and spoke to Monique. Monique jumped on it immediately and resolved the issue! When I am ready for a replacement system, Econo Air will definitely be on my short list! They have not disappointed me thus far.
