Texted them to ask about a repair for our chimney flashing, a chimney cap, and a roof cleaning, they said I would get a faster response if I texted on their voicemail. His response was to ask for my address then direct me to pay a $500 deposit on his website. Said I could get a better idea of pricing there. I looked around on the website but all I could find was a minimum price and a PayPal button, nothing on repair costs. I asked him if he could give me a ballpark for flashing repair since that was our first priority and if the entire flashing needed to be replaced if part of it is missing. His response was to say I would know the total after they did the work and that:"If it is a priority make deposit today will send a roof for tomorrow you can be home and watch the entire time that he is working the entire time you pay for the time and the materials. Did you not read what it says on that page of our website?,?" It was the rudest response to a question I have ever gotten, I told him that I needed at least an idea of cost and that he was being rude to me. He said I didn't understand that he was trying to help me (by insinuating that I was an idiot and refusing to answer a question) or his business model and that there were plenty of people who appreciate him. That he would spend all day on the phone if he answered questions yet his home advisor description states: "I look forward to answering any roofing questions you have." I reminded him that I only asked one question and his business model is fine if he would take the time to answer a question about his business model and the job. He then told me another customers FULL NAME and said that they had just made a payment on the website and were pleased. Nice privacy for your customers man. I don't care if you don't do estimates, but answer a question with respect to your customers. Just because you understand exactly how you do business doesn't mean everyone else does.
