I don't know how they stay in business. I went in this morning to shop for an inground pool. I was asked if I needed help and I was quickly directed to a guy several steps away. He approached me, 7 Eleven Slurpie in hand and asked what I needed. He never introduced himself, never asked my name, he didn't invite me to sit down in one of the offices, he just rambled on about how terrible every other pool builder on Long Island was and just threw a price at me on the pool installation. When I asked why he was approximately $10,000 higher than the other three quotes I received, his only explanation was that the other builders were no good and he would have to see exactly what they quoted. Meanwhile, he never told me what HE was quoting for $40,000 just for the pool installation. I never even got past the pool pricing to talk about the rest of backyard build (pavers, waterfall, outdoor fireplace, outdoor kitchen, pergola, etc. As it turns out, he was the owners son. I approached the father (owner) to complain about how unprofessional I was being treated and his response was, "we're sales people, we know when someone is serious about buying or not". I will return there with my signed buyers order for $98,0000 from the other pool builder for my complete backyard makeover. Sorry Backyard Masters, you lost a $100,000 sale this morning!
