Sealcoating is an important part of the asphalt maintenance process. Over time, asphalt is susceptible to oxidation from the sun and damage from water penetrating beneath it's surface. Sealcoating not only makes your pavement look new, it protects it from oxidation as well as petroleum spills. When sealcoating we begin by prepping the entire area by removing all dirt, debris, and vegetation. We then prime any oil spots and stains present on the driveway. A "Tarconite" Coal-Tar based sealer mixed with 5 pounds of sand per gallon (for traction) is then applied using a squeegee or spray method.

Asphalt Engineering will guide you through the fundamental steps in making an educated decision on your driveway installation and maintenance needs. Our estimator will meet, at your convenience, to provide a complimentary ENGINEERED estimate on the type of driveway application you desire. You will be provided with a transparent estimate going into full detail regarding the scope of work, total asphalt tonnage and inches, photos, and a diagram. When needed a transit compass will be used to determine heights and elevations for proper water flow and they will be noted on your diagram.
