Services
Custom Home Building
We create architecturally significant custom homes that blend innovative design with traditional craftsmanship. Our team works closely with clients and architects to develop unique residences that reflect regional heritage while incorporating modern amenities. Each project emphasizes energy efficiency, using advanced building techniques like geothermal heating and solar power systems to create sustainable living spaces that maintain timeless appeal.
Timber Framing
Our timber framing expertise combines traditional hand-crafted techniques with modern design requirements. Using time-honored joinery methods like mortise-and-tenon connections, we create structurally sound frameworks that showcase natural wood beauty. This approach allows for versatile applications ranging from classic barn-style homes to contemporary residences while maintaining the heritage value of authentic timber construction.
Architectural Millwork
Our in-house millwork shop produces high-end custom architectural elements including intricate moldings, grand staircases, and bespoke paneling. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment alongside traditional craftsmanship to create detailed wood features that enhance home interiors. Each piece is designed to seamlessly integrate with the overall architectural style while maintaining functional durability for long-term enjoyment.
Energy-Efficient Construction
We incorporate advanced energy-saving technologies into every project, including passive solar design, geothermal heating systems, and high-performance insulation. Our net-zero energy homes utilize grid-tied photovoltaic arrays and super-insulated building envelopes to minimize environmental impact. These sustainable practices create comfortable living spaces that significantly reduce utility costs while maintaining the aesthetic quality of traditional Maine architecture.
Pre-Construction Planning
Our comprehensive pre-construction services ensure thorough project preparation through detailed budgeting, scheduling, and material selection. We collaborate with design teams to refine architectural concepts and develop precise construction timelines. This proactive approach addresses potential challenges before building begins, ensuring smooth project execution from initial concept to final completion while maintaining strict quality control standards.
