Wood doors are constructed of solid wood frames with either wood or MDF center panels. Panels can either be flat for a transitional style or raised for a more traditional style. Various wood species, combined with stain are used to produce the desired aesthetic. Doors can be made with paint-grade birch, maple or MDF. The graining of the wood can either run horizontal or vertical and is available in various cuts providing either a close linear grain as in rift-sawn or quarter sawn or a wider grain with more cathedrals in plain-sawn.

High pressure laminate, or HPL, is often referred to as PLAM, or plastic laminate, or just simply laminate. It is constructed of multiple layers of kraft paper saturated with resins, topped with a decor paper and fused together by heat and pressure, forming a single, rigid laminated sheet. High pressure laminate is affixed to a composite panel utilizing a variety of adhesives, providing a stable, durable and consistent material that is ideal for frameless cabinet construction.
