OCW was created to solve two needs in kitchen remodeling: immediate availability and affordable quality. Created by Bill Oxley in 2004, the business model was intended to be a place to pick up cabinets that day. Immediately that morphed into delivering, then designing and installing. Now we just added, as of May 2019, affordable, profiled laminate countertops to our products. We decided to keep referring other requests for materials like granite, Corian, butcher block, etc. to our business partners without an up-charge to our customers.
Oxley Cabinet Warehouse was created in 2004 by Bill Oxley to solve a constant issue he heard from his customers - waiting weeks or longer for cabinets. Like a lot of things, people want what they want or need immediately. Bill soon realized that it wouldn't be as simple as being just a warehouse like a grocery store or building supplies. People don't grasp the complexities of how to design a kitchen and so he added designing as a service. Kitchen Kompact (KK) manufactures cabinets in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been family-owned and operated for three generations.
Designing with state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design (CAD) software with layouts and three dimensional (3-D) pictures so that you can visualize what the room will look like once everything is done in your new kitchen, bathroom, etc. Delivery is free within 35 miles of our warehouse but we deliver all over Northeast and Central Florida up to Savannah, GA with our own trucks. Recently we have started delivering even further away by common carrier. Warranty All our products come with a minimal one year warranty but we take care of our customers.
In March of 2019, we started fabricating and selling our own laminate countertops that we fabricate in our own Top Shop. We wanted to control the cost and the speed of delivery so we decided to carry in-stock bullnose profiled blanks in 20-plus of the most asked-for patterns. Now everyday we modify tops for pickup up same day, delivery next day and installing within a week.
Designer came out to measure. Jan. 5th, 2 weeks later I called him to see about my estimate & he said he had been really busy and would have it ready the following Monday. It's now Jan. 25th and I have not heard anything from him. Obviously, working with them to get my kitchen installed would be a nightmare. Glad I found out before I started. Very poor customer service.
My kitchen will be finished tomorrow and I am beyond pleased. I've heard of night mares with people redoing their kitchens. The process has been most pleasant from the very beginning. I always thought that redoing my kitchen was beyond financial reach until I found you guys. I will be sure to pass your name on and share the wonderful experience we've had.
