Winter snows, summer drought, and winds of spring or fall in Denver create storm damage cleanup challenges to the structures of our landscapes. Trees with unrecognized problems are vulnerable to breakage. Even healthy trees can only withstand so much before they, too, lose branches (or worse). Arbortec Tree Service in Denver, CO is available to help you address the mess left behind by Mother Nature. Trees and shrubs may require complex expertise to restore their ability to survive and thrive. Because we offer the full range of arboriculture services, we can meet both your immediate needs to remove hazards, as well as return your landscape to beauty for the future.

Adding new beauty to your Denver landscape is always an exciting proposition. The thrill of selecting a tree or shrubs to enhance your existing structure is only part of the fun. Knowing the best tree planting and care methods means your addition has the best opportunity to thrive. Denver is home to wonderful native selections for your property, and non-natives also add beauty and distinction. However, we have clayish soils, and in some areas, stripped topsoil means lost nutrients could be an issue.

As a community, we value our urban forests for their beauty, the value they add to our quality of life, and the benefits to wildlife and nature in the Denver, Colorado area. Arbortec Tree Service understands how much trees and landscape plants add to the investment in your property, too. That's why we consider tree removal one of the last options in our arsenal of tree preservation activities. Sometimes, though, pest or diseases, storm damage, or vitality issues require that a tree be removed. Our deciduous and conifer trees can suffer from storm-related problems like major branch and stem destruction.

Unfortunately, we've all seen them around Denver, those unsightly trees that received a crew cut or have been topped by someone who does not understand what they are doing. Tree trimming is as much art as science. At Arbortec, we consider the multiple factors to take care of your tree trimming and pruning needs correctly. This means we consider the tree's growth habits, annual cycle, structure and physiology. Leaving a tree that benefits from pruning rather than suffers from it and remains aesthetically pleasing to you is our consistent goal.

Majestic deciduous trees and conifers add beauty to our urban forests in the Denver region. Many of these are treasured centerpieces of our property, adding value we want to maintain in our landscapes. At times, though, structures weaken, making tree cabling and bracing necessary for survival. At Arbortec, we install cabling and bracing hardware to prevent failure in limbs that are weakened by cracks. These additions allow the tree to continue to sway and move in a natural fashion while protecting you and your family from breakage or loss.

The tree is gone, sometimes for many years, and yet the stump endures. Nature has not yet reduced it to chunks of easily disposable wood. It remains as a tripping hazard and unsightly reminder of what once was. That's why we emphasize the importance of stump grinding in the Denver tree removal process at Arbortec Tree Service. PlanttalkColorado, sponsored by Colorado State University Extension, Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Green Industries of Colorado, notes that several methods can eventually result in stump removal.

If we are lucky, our properties have soil structures filled with nutrients our native plants thrive on. Those structures can also be full of clay, causing problems for non-native plants and landscapes in the Denver area. Soil imbalances, compaction and use of chemicals and inappropriate organic products sometimes make tree fertilization a necessity. Taking a page from nature's handbook, we at Arbortec Tree Service recommend solutions to your tree care that mimics what's missing in the environment as a first course of action.

What's new?

Well, that needs to be taken care of.
