Your Trusted Architectural Partner in Tacoma, WA
Weddermann Architecture was founded in 2010 with a clear mission: to create architecture that serves communities rather than chasing awards or profits. As a woman-owned firm based in Tacoma, Washington, we have spent over 15 years helping clients realize their architectural visions, whether through commercial properties, multifamily housing, accessory dwelling units, or custom homes. Our founder, Jennifer Weddermann, brings a unique perspective to architecture through her dual expertise as a licensed architect and metal artist, with public artworks enriching the South Sound region. Our team of licensed architects, designers, and fabricators shares a collective passion for community-driven design. We prioritize sustainable practices, including building reuse and energy-efficient orientation, and Jennifers LEED Accredited Professional certification ensures environmentally conscious solutions. Our work has been nationally recognized, including features in the Smithsonian, for projects like the YWCA Pierce County domestic violence shelter. We have earned accolades such as the 2023 Small Business Person of the Year award and multiple Best of Showcase Magazine honors. Our approach combines technical excellence with creative problem-solving, ensuring each project meets both functional needs and aesthetic aspirations. We believe great design should enhance lives, not just portfolios, and remain committed to delivering architecture that strengthens communities.
