Murphy Company is committed to quality and provides exceptional, high-performance waterproofing solutions for foundations and basements in order to protect your investment. Our waterproofing product holds back up to 3 feet of water under hydrostatic pressure and seals out water penetration with a flexible, seamless membrane. The membrane is 40 mils thick when cured - at least four times thicker than a typical dampproofing application. It's spray-applied to seamlessly bridge foundation settling cracks and seal out water penetration.

When insulation is exposed to water, smoke or fire it must be removed to prevent mold and mildew. Even a small fire can fill your existing insulation with smoke and soot and the smell will linger for years and the only way to eliminate this is to remove the old, damaged insulation. Another area to look for is over-insulated spaces such as attics in older homes. These areas can be full of dirty, dusty, contaminated layers of insulation that can be hazardous to the home's occupants. Too many layers of insulation can create moisture problems such as mold stains on walls and ceilings as well.

Murphy Company uses primarily intumescent or solvent-based fireproofing applications, and work in both 1- and 2-hour ratings. Intumescent coatings work by charring and expanding typically to 25 times their original thickness when engulfed in flames. The increase in volume and decrease in density of the coating slows the heating of the underlying steel, increasing the time before the steel itself starts to melt. Murphy Company has access to a broad selection of products to meet your specific needs.
