Basements are practical additions to Kansas City area homes, and they can be used for a variety of purposes, such as recreational rooms, movie theaters, guest quarters, or treasure hunting grounds for Antiques Roadhouse. Basements can be a wonderful home feature, but they can also be a great headache under certain circumstances. If your basement becomes flooded, you may be overwhelmed with the circumstance and wondering how to fix the problem. The first thing you need to do is identify how the water is getting into your basement and fix that problem.

Once a surface-such as carpet, drywall, or wood-becomes wet, mold can grow rapidly. In fact, it only takes as little as 48 hours for mold to spread throughout a property. If left ignored, mold won't just damage your home's physical structure-it has the potential to put your health at risk. Mold remediation is not something you want to try handling on your own. Putting on rubber gloves and scrubbing at the mold is not enough to get rid of it. Each mold infestation requires a unique solution to fix it.

Sewage backups pose some of the most significant dangers to home and business owners. Not only is the stench that accompanies a sewage flood unbearable, but pathogens, fungi, and viral contagions contained in the water can pose serious health hazards. When not addressed, persistent sewage problems can also create serious structural damage which can be extraordinarily expensive to repair. The crews at Certified Restoration are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week-committed to providing you with the most responsive and professional emergency sewage cleanup services in Kansas City.

When your Kansas City home or business sustains water damage, the extent of the destruction can be overwhelming. It doesn't take much water to result in significant loss in a short period of time-that's why it's incredibly important to hire a company with the skills, experience, and equipment necessary to offer reliable and comprehensive water damage restoration services. Your homeowners insurance may cover water or flood damage, so you don't have to put off hiring water damage restoration professionals.

Business and house fires can be devastating-and not just because of the damage they can cause to building materials and personal belongings. Fires are typically the most damaging type of disaster that a property owner can experience, and unfortunately, they are also the most common. The National Fire Protection Agency reported that there are an estimated 358,500 residential home fires each year in the United States. At Certified Restoration of Kansas City, we're committed to helping our local communities restore their homes and businesses and navigate the insurance claim process after fire damage and smoke damage.

Clint explained the process upfront and told me exactly what to expect over the next couple of days and told us that they would take care of us. They absolutely took care of us and took the worry off of our shoulders. We highly recommend Certified Restoration!

Please read. These cold temperatures can be very hard on your home and pipes. Please check bathrooms and areas of the home that are not commonly used. Make sure your pipes have not frozen. Pipes may be frozen and therefore not leaking at this point, but warmer temps next week will thaw those pipes and cause lots of damage.
