Hardwood Installation
We specialize in premium hardwood flooring installation using both traditional nail-down methods and modern glue-assisted techniques for wide planks. Our NWFA-certified team handles solid and engineered hardwood, offering custom patterns and decorative borders. We provide on-site evaluations to determine optimal installation methods based on subfloor conditions and moisture levels.
Dust-Free Sanding
Our advanced dust containment system captures 99% of airborne particles using cyclonic filtration and HEPA technology. This eliminates health risks from wood dust while preserving indoor air quality. The process prepares floors for refinishing without creating mess or requiring extensive cleanup.
Eco-Friendly Finishes
We apply GreenGuard Certified waterborne finishes that emit minimal VOCs, ensuring safety for families and pets. Our 4-coat system combines DuraSeal stain with Bona Traffic HD for exceptional durability. These finishes resist scratches while maintaining natural wood aesthetics without harmful chemical exposure.
Staircase Renovation
Our team handles complete staircase installations and refinishing using solid wood treads that match existing flooring. We work with NuStair products and custom millwork to restore worn carpeted stairs to elegant hardwood features while maintaining structural integrity.
Showroom Consultation
Our Cary showroom displays hundreds of hardwood options including exotic species, reclaimed wood, and prefinished planks. Customers can view large stain samples and explore design possibilities with our experts to find perfect flooring solutions for their home's aesthetic and functional needs.

Helen and Janar are responsive to questions and provide exceptional follow through. Additionally, Janar gave sound guidance for stains based on my tastes and concerns, while keeping in mind the type of wood we had in our home. We beyond pleased with our refinished floors and with Green Step Flooring. Without hesitation, I recommend them.

Excellent work in a timely manner with very responsive customer service. I asked for a change (two more rooms to have hardwoods installed) on the morning they arrived and Janar measured, gave me the estimate and had the extra wood there that day. The work was done in three days and it looks exquisite.
