If not properly drained, excess water under the structure may create pressure and cause water to find its way through small cracks and into your basement. If your neighbor's land stands at a higher elevation than yours, you may be experiencing problems with excessive moisture on your property. Low spots in your yard can pool water. Excess water in the soil under your basement floor can sometimes create pressure, causing water to find its way through cracks and onto your basement floor. Window wells, if not properly drained, can collect water, allowing it to enter through the seam between the window and the concrete stem wall.

Chicagoland Waterproofing evaluates the needs of your property's ground services and solves them in ways you have never thought possible. We cover all things concrete - all the things you know about and the things you do not yet know about - and then we do a little more. We bring more than three decades of experience and multi-generational know-how to each and every jobsite, and we put ourselves in your shoes. That's our point of view while providing service to your property; we work harder than any contractor to earn your trust, while keeping our prices very competitive.

Preserve your home's integrity by preventing water from accumulating in your yard and near the foundation of your home, keeping your basement dry and safe.

A frequent problem in your basement are foundation cracks, commonly caused by the house settling on the foundation or the ground beneath it. Foundation cracks are important to take care of because it is an entry point for water and ultimately causes overall structural damage to your home. Hairline cracks to 1/8 width or larger cracks can be a concern for water seepage and basement leaks, creating a damp basement that leads to mold and mildew and a variety of health problems. Major foundation cracks introduce other structural issues to the home such as cracks to the house walls, corners of doorways and around windows.

Water damage or flooding to your crawlspace can cause a variety of structural problems and health concerns. Excess humidity caused by the evaporation of standing water or wet soil conditions in your crawlspace will create mold and bacteria growth on the wooden floor joists and the bottom of sub flooring. Crawlspace water can also cause the insulation to lose it's R Value or even fall down. We have seen hardwood floor cupping and buckling when crawlspace moisture is high. In addition, mold growth in the living area can occur, especially where the walls and floor meet.

I had (GUS) Chicagoland Waterproofing come out and fix a crack in my foundation. Everytime it rained, my basement would flood like a siv. They came in and fixed the crack in less that 1 hour. In Addition they were about 30% Less than US and PermaSeal. Higly recommend them.
