Through words, video and photos, the site represents a commitment to provide information of interest on a timely basis. We keep the site current by using a Content Management System (CMS) that enables us to edit the content or add pages at any time. Our site was designed and created by our agency partner, Advertising Savants in St. Louis, MO.

Thanks to Pam Warner in the Cincinnati store for helping me move from confused to confident in my choice of granite for my kitchen remodel! Pam took the time to walk with me around the entire showroom and helped me evaluate my likes and dislikes as we compared my color palette to the different granites! She was patient and enjoyable to work with. Unique in Cincinnati has a great showroom for the granite, marble and quartzite slabs with more natural light available than most warehouses I saw. My long search for the granite has ended and I am on my way to beautiful tops for my new kitchen cabinets!

With the growing trend toward a contemporary look, Porcelain slabs across the country have become increasingly popular and the quality of Laminam XL slabs is second to none. The company Laminam has one large advantage with respect to Porcelain slabs. In addition to manufacturing the actual slabs, they also manufacture the highest quality machines that are used to produce these slabs. So our competitors either use machines produced by Laminam or use inferior quality machines.

The first step in proper stone care and maintenance is to understand your stone's geological classification and composition. Natural stone is categorized into three basic geological classifications by their respective formation processes: Sedimentary, Metamorphic and igneous. Additionally, stones in each category can be either Calcareous or Siliceous. Calcareous stone is composed mainly of calcium carbonate, a chemical compound commonly found in natural stone, shells and pearls. Calcium Carbonate is sensitive to acidic solutions so mild, non-acidic cleaners are recommended.

A versatile building material that can be used in either commercial or residential construction projects, limestone is considered an affordable solution. Limestone quarries can be found around the world, including very large ones in the United States. Most limestone is softer and less dense than granite and more homogeneous in appearance. We carry a full line of limestones from Portugal, as well as the very well-known Jura Beige and Jura Grey limestones from Germany. All are excellent materials for countertops as well as all flooring applications.
