Our premium insulation solutions offer superior sound proofing, are fire and moisture-resistant, and will not rot, decay, or attract insects or animals. It's important to understand that insulation is only as effective as its installation. If voids and gaps are left unfilled, heat and sound will travel, negating much of your insulation's protective benefits. It's not only essential to use the best quality materials, but it is also necessary to work with a company that is trained and certified to install the right system properly.
BIBS is a unique process where blown fiberglass insulation is placed behind a mesh fabric that is first installed over the studs. Each cavity is then filled with the required amount of insulation to reach the desired R-Value. The benefits of using BIBS is that you can achieve a higher R-Value versus using typical fiberglass batt insulation because the BIBS fills the cavity at a higher density than the batts, resulting in less air movement within the cavity. The average home insulated using BIBS will save enough money on their utilities in the first year to make up for the cost of upgrading to BIBS.
An attic re-blow is when new insulation is blown into the attic on top of the existing insulation to gain a greater R-value. Re-blowing an attic can greatly help in controlling heating and air conditioning costs throughout the year. Some energy companies and government agencies have rebates available for re-blowing your attic. These rebates vary based on your location. L&L Insulation does not guarantee rebates in your area, nor do we submit them for you. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to follow through with the rebate process.
