How to prevent Frozen pipes: with any cold weather spell we encounter in WNY, wind chill is usually the culprit in a frozen pipe. Preventing any windy drafts from entering your attic, crawlspace, or basement is the most cost effective way to prevent a pipe from freezing. Trace your home's water pipes from your basement or crawlspace. Physically inspect the sill plate of your home or walls of your crawlspace. If you see any daylight coming in, these areas should be addressed first, using a foam, filling insulation (expandable/non-expandable), caulk, or plastic coverings.

Replacing your home's underground water or sewer line is probably the last thing you are thinking about, but if you have reoccurring drain problems, replacing a portion or all of one of these systems may be something you are considering. We provide a lifetime material warranty for any COMPLETE water or drain system replacement.

Sewer Problems are never a good experience. Replacing your sewer can be a messy process, but the trenchless cure in place pipe solutions at NSP can save you a ton of time, money, and mess. Our pipe restoration technology allows us to re-line the existing sewer or drain pipe at your home from one point-of-access, eliminating the need to excavate your entire yard to replace your sewer. This saves you from not only a messy excavation site, but also gets your plumbing system up and running quickly. With our "root free" guarantee, you are protected FOR life against further damage, infiltration, or root intrusion.

If you have a home that's older than 30 years old, there is a good chance you still have a good portion of your original drain, waste, vent system, water distribution piping, and gas piping system. Just like a roof or foundation, your home's piping may be outside of its life expectancy or it may even be to the point where it's not functional. Whatever the case may be, we've got you covered if your pipes need to be replaced. Working in some of the oldest homes in our area, we've encountered just about everything.

A stopped up sewer or a clogged drain is never a pleasant surprise, especially if the symptom of the problem is a flooded basement. Whether it's root intrusion in your clay tile sewer pipe, or just a pesky, slow drain, our specialists at Shembeda Plumbing & HVAC have access to state of the art, industry leading equipment and drain cleaning machines, rooters, and sewer rodders. We take all of the guesswork out of your underground pipes with our sewer video inspection and locating unit. We can literally see and record inside of your home's sewer pipe and building drain!

Quick call back, quality work and professional. Tried calling 3 companies who never answered and never called back. Alex and Mark could not have beenmore conscientious or friendly. It was one of the best experiences I've had with contractors / plumbers.thank you Nick Shembeda

I moved to my home in Cuba NY in November of 2015 and soon found issues with previous renovations not being done to code. A friend referred me to Nick who came out, looked things over (in a crawl space where I was not going to go), and provided recommendations and pricing. So last year, Nick and company re-piped the entire house and installed a new energy efficient furnace in the crawl space (was in a closet by the bedrooms and did not have any cold air return). Just had them back this month to fix all the drains and the gas lines and had them install new elevated toilets and a new vanity in the bathrooms. All work has been done in a professional manner and now all items are done the 'right' way and in meeting code. Nick and the guys are neat and tidy, always cleaning up after their work, and are friendly without taking away from their work. Have another small job for them and then my list for 2017 will be complete. :-) I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing and/or heating work.

Thank you so much to Nick, Ryan, and Tristen for making an unfortunate situation much easier to handle. Our heat went out at some point between Sunday night and Monday morning. Ryan was able to get it going again on Monday morning, but we learned quickly that there were unsafe levels of carbon monoxide coming from the old furnace. It was the coldest it had been all winter, but thanks to everyone at Nick Shembeda Plumbing and Heating we were without heat for only a little over a day. Ryan went over our options for a new furnace and was able to answer all the questions we had. The installation was professionally done and we feel confident in the materials used as well. We will definitely use Nick Shembeda Plumbing and Heating in the future.
