The Tech was friendly and worked quickly. In the beginning he thought the tank had a single construction lid so I agreed to let them bring in an excavator to remove the lid at an additional cost. Once it was dug thoroughly it was discovered the lid was in fact in three pieces. This was a small most likely 250 Gal tank. Unfortunately, I still had to pay the higher charge even thought it was their mistake on the lid construction.
The tank was full and field line problems were suspected but, I felt undue pressure to contact the city and make an immediate decision on new field lines in access of $5,000.00. I contacted a Master plumber friend and was told to not rush into anything since no test or flushing were done to determine if in deed the lines were not working properly. I just felt overcharged since the lid was in fact in three pieces and equipment was not needed and definitely felt pressure to go right then to the Lafayette and get a permit and inspector.
Not a good feeling being pushed towards thousands of dollars in repairs without evidence it was truly warranted. Feel overcharged and leery of expensive repairs. With this type expense quotes are definitely recommended

We moved into our house 6 months ago and kept smelling a septic smell in the basement. Metro came out at once when I called them. They tested the house and found everything functioning well and the tank was also functioning well. When the technician couldn't figure out our problem he had the supervisor come out that same day. They did a smoke test and found a leak between the house and the tank. They were able to fix it within the week. We are so thankful for Metro and their excellent service!
