A Septic System is an expensive investment. Every house which does not have access to city sewer must have a septic system or holding tank. A septic system is sensitive and can be easily abused. There are a few simple do's and do not's to help protect your investment. Cleaning your filter is very important to prolonging the life of your septic system. The filter is designed to block solids from entering your soil absorption field. Holding tanks do not have filters! Depending on the size of the filter, it may plug up in 2 months or 3 years.
John has been an excellent resource to help educate us about septic system design as we look at how to lay everything out on our new property. I would highly recommend Schroeder Septic Systems. My wife and I recently built a new home on a lot that required a holding tank and mound. This was all new to us so naturally we had a lot of questions. John was extremely helpful in educating us about how they work and the best way to take care of them. We had some delays due to weather, but John was diligent in checking the property to get things going as quickly as he could. His customer service is amazing! We were very appreciative of his expertise and guidance.
