Mark Mackin and Ralph Little founded Mackin & Little, Inc. in 1987. In 1998 the management team changed and George Renner took Ralph Little's place. We are a mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, commercial plumbing, and wet side heating. Typical projects generally include: fish reclamation, hospitals, universities, hotels, retirement facilities, condominiums, paper mills, aluminum plants, dams, malls, and office buildings. Mackin & Little is proud to have performed significant industrial work for companies such as Alcoa, Dix Corporation, Olympic Foods, Snyder's Bakery, Kaiser Aluminum, Avista, and Potlatch Corporation.
Mackin & Little has a fully functional pre-fabrication shop on its premises. Pre-fabrication has streamlined many of our own construction processes, as well as the overall plumbing, heating, and cooling industries. Implementing fabrication or pre-fab in a project can lead to reduced installation time, labor costs, and material costs. There is also significantly less waste when pre-fab is utilized. Fab/Prefab work in controlled environments also yields high levels of safety for all involved and reduces on site space needs, additional labor, and materials.
Mackin & Little specializes in wet-side commercial plumbing across Washington, Idaho and Oregon. To date we have completed countless schools, hospitals, water treatment plants, apartment buildings, warehouses, and other commercial enterprises across the Pacific Northwest. We continue to strive to meet our customers' plumbing needs no matter how large or small the scope of work may be.
We work with all of our customers as needed to help them analyze what their construction needs will be for future projects. We can help to accurately estimate future costs and help our customers find a more efficient and cost-effective way to proceed if necessary. Our Pre-Construction services include budgeting, constructing job schedules and design services.
Design-build is a project delivery method, where we work directly with the project owner and selected design team to provide building design and construction services to initiate, build, and complete a total project or series of phased projects. We work closely with the project owner and design teams from the beginning to the end of a project. Our end goal in design-build projects is to maintain and deliver a unique and cost-effective end product. The design-build approach is one of the most tried and true delivery methods of construction in the country.
